I have run almost all my mileage from December 2017 until May 2020 in Altra Escalante originals or the 1.5s. I was looking for a replacement and the Torin 4 has worked really well for me. An ounce heavier and more support on sharp turns than the Escalante but very similar in cushioning and fit. I wear the same size in both models. After 200 miles they are holding up very well. I expect to get about 800 miles on them which is what I’ve been getting on my Escalantes. Great shoe for anyone wanting a light and neutral zero-drop model with enough cushioning and durability to handle high mileage.

Used them yesterday for the 1st time and ran 2:30hrs on the treadmill. Very comfortable & responsive shoes.
