The 2025 Scarecrow Classic 5K and 1 Mile Walk will be held November 9th, 2025. This event, hosted by the Brain Injury Association of Maryland (BIAMD) will rally survivors, families, friends, and supporters around the common goal of raising awareness about brain injury within the community and providing much needed funding to support the programs and initiatives of BIAMD. Now at UMBC Campus in Baltimore, Maryland! The 5k and 1 Mile Walk are on paved roads.

Pricing Schedule

Register Early for the best rates!

Open- September 30th: $40 plus fees
October 1st- October 31st: $45 plus fees
November 1st- Race Day: $50 plus fees

Group Discounts and Referral Awards

Scarecrow Teams (minimum of 5 members) may sign up to receive discount Team Registration Pricing. Discount will apply once the 4th runner has signed up using your team name.

** Please note: the first 4 runners will receive a $5 refund (to match discounted price) once the 5th team member signs up using the team name.

In addition, this year we are offering referral discounts. Your registration confirmation email will contain a unique link for you to share to gain referral credits. Once 5 people sign up using your link, you will receive a $5 refund.

Description: This WRRC event takes place on the roads outside of Runnymede Elementary School during the month of November.  Some of this course is run during the Twilight Series 8K.  This race now is the third leg of the WRRC "Marathon Series".  Rolling hills.  Be aware that after 6-ish miles you will be dealing with an uphill through the last three-quarters of a mile.  This race starts and finishes at Runnymede Elementary School which provides a slight uphill on the first 200 meters but a great downhill kick 200 meters at the finish.

Location(GPS):  Runnymede Elementary School, 3000 Langdon Drive, Westminster, MD 21158.  From Westminster: Take 140W toward Taneytown.  Take a right onto Mayberry Road and then take first right onto Langdon Drive.
