Hope everyone took advantage of the beautiful weather this weekend! If you are looking for a run this weekend we have our Saturday morning run this Saturday at 8:00am, followed by yoga from our friends @westminsterdowntownyoga. Now let’s check in with our #IRunMoore ambassador Alan.
Although I usually go solo, ploggging can be a fun group activity. Each year, on the 3rd Saturday in March, we hold The Trash Pick-Up Club of Ashburn Trash Pick Up 5k Run & Walk. This year will be the 3rd Annual. Participants are provided gloves, trash bags and trash grabber sticks. The walks routes are 1 – 3 miles and are kid friendly. The 5k run kicks off after the walkers return. All finishers receive a medal made out of old Amazon boxes in a ceremony held under the finish line archway also made of said boxes. All participants also receive an official Trash Pick-up Club of Ashburn t-shirt. This event and tshirts are Free to any and all participants.
Last year we picked up more than 5,000 pieces of litter (106 full trash bags) in and around Ashburn “old town” section.
This year’s event in March 21, 2020 starting at 9am.
